about
Hey how ya doing? I am KennyB. I am a follower of Christ, a husband of a beautiful Christian woman and father of two. I am a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from the Billy Graham School of Evangelism and Church Growth. I received my Masters in North American Church Planting in 2008. Now I am a church planter in Utah sharing the love of Christ anyway I am able.
I am an avid NASCAR fan (Harvick is the best). I love football, hockey and baseball. God placed my family not too far from Salt Lake City where we cheer for the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL), the U of Utah Utes, and the Salt Lake City Bees. We see the greatness of God’s creation everyday looking up at the beautiful mountains.
1982 was a great year for me. Why was ’82 so great you say? I am glad you asked. That was the year I was adopted. As a twelve year old, in a worship service with my mother, God showed me that I was a sinner. I had disobeyed my parents, I had lied, and many other things. Even as a twelve year old, I deserved to be eternally separated from God.
However, on that October night not only did God show me that I was a sinner, He showed me that He loved me and sent His Son to pay for my wrongs. His Son is Jesus Christ. Jesus, having lived a perfect life and deserving glory in heaven died in my place, so that I would not have to pay the penalty of death myself. Not only did Jesus die for me, but He rose and is now alive. Because He rose, I too will live with Jesus for eternity.
Due to Jesus’ works (not mine) I was adopted into God’s family, cleaned of all my sin, and given an inheritance with Jesus. My Father is perfect and reigns in Heaven. He is King and I am His child.
That was the best day of my life. I became the son of the King with an inheritance that does not lose value with the stock exchange. I have a home in heaven that never needs repaired. I have a hope that never fails.
You can have this too. Know that Christ is the Son of God and he came to pay the price for your sins. Know that your sins separate you from God. Put your faith in Jesus as the complete payment for your sins, understanding there is no way we can pay for our sins or merit membership into God’s family on our own.
It is all about Jesus.
